About Laura

I am an HCPC registered occupational therapist with over 13 years’ experience in the field and a further background in health and social care. I have worked in hospitals and the community across NHS, local authority and private settings with adults (16+) experiencing a wide range of health concerns.

I am interested in exploring with clients how mental health and neurodivergence impacts everyday life and supporting people to re-engage with daily activities, relationships, hobbies and work in a way that feels manageable and sustainable.

Grounded in person-centred occupational therapy, I integrate a range of evidence-informed therapeutic approaches to support each person's unique needs and goals. These include mindfulness-based, somatic and trauma-informed approaches, together with principles drawn from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also have an interest in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and may draw on its principles safely where appropriate to an individual's goals and preferences.

I maintain continued professional development (CPD) and work in line with the standards of HCPC and RCOT.

Alongside my professional work I have travelled extensively and have a long-standing interest in various forms of meditation. Creativity and dance are also important to me and continue to shape how I experience and understand meaning, expression and wellbeing in everyday life.
